UNDP and KOICA Join Hands to Achieve the Global Goals in Sudan

The Republic of Korea has been a significant donor to the recovery and development of  Sudan , through its generous support to a number of interventions that consolidate peace and development in the country.

In this regard, UNDP Sudan Resident Representative Dr. Selva Ramachandran (a.i.) have met yesterday with the KOICA Director General for East Africa Development, Doh, Young-Ah and KOICA Assistant Manager for East Africa Development , Jan, Hae In.

The meeting touched upon future plans to scale up the Youth Volunteers in Darfur project which Korea have been generously supporting its two phases of  implemention. 

During the meeting, KOICA senior repsentatives have also expressed their interest in supporting UNDP's development interventions in the areas of livelihoods creation for communities and Solar for Agriculture across Sudan's different states - in particular White Nile State.

UNDP and The Republic of Korea have been longstanding partners across the world and will continue working in close collaboration towards achieving the Sustainble Development Goals agenda in Sudan for the prosperity of the Sudanese people.
