    Geneva –9 August, 2015 - Two new agreements reached in Sudan by the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the Federal Ministry of Health and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is set to halt spread of HIV among most at risk Sudanese population and keep TB under control.

    Khartoum - The Government of Japan has allocated USD 2.5 million to UNDP’s Promoting Community Stabilization Programme. This generous contribution enables UNDP to support the Government of Sudan initiating project implementation immediately in the target states.

  • Japan Contributes USD 750,000 to the Strengthening of Rule of Law in Sudan Jan 28, 2015

    Khartoum, The Government of Japan has made a generous contribution of USD 750,000 to UNDP’s Strengthening the Capacity of the Sudan National Human Rights Commission (SNHRC) project which will be implemented from 2015 to 2018 with the main objective of supporting the SNHRC in the development of its operational, technical and legal capacities to become a cornerstone within Sudan’s national human rights protection system, in line with the Paris Principles.

    Khartoum-September 17, 2014 - Switzerland continues its support to the recovery and development efforts in Darfur. Today, an amount of USD267,000 has been granted to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in support for its Livelihoods and Recovery Programme targeting vulnerable communities in Central, West, North and South Darfur.

  • Graduation Ceremony of Darfur Youth Volunteers Jun 26, 2014

    The ceremony took place simultaneously in El Fasher and Nyala to celebrate the volunteers’ graduation under the project led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the Peace Studies and Research Centres of the Universities of El Fasher and Nyala. Local authorities such as the State Ministry of Finance, State Judiciary, Ministry of Animal Resource, Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) as well as representatives of the African Union - United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), El Fasher and Nyala universities have participated in the event.
