Building National Capacities on Aid Management and Coordination in Sudan
UNDP and the Ministry of International Cooperation organized a three day workshop on “Aid Management and Coordination” on October 4 until October 7th.
Representatives from the Ministry of International Cooperation and other various government institutions and participated in this important capacity building training.
This training enables part icipants to achieve greater effectiveness in managing aid and local development programmes through the provision of relevant skills and knowledge to enhance aid effectiveness in Sudan.
A series of trainings will kick start with this workshop on “International Cooperation Concepts” including subjects concurring with the recent developments in global development agenda.
Since 2006, UNDP has been supporting the national efforts to advance aid effectiveness through its directly implemented project of “Capacity Development for Aid Management and Coordination – CDAMC”. The project addresses the aid related national capacity development needs while also tackling aid policy and strategic issues. In this regard, the project has previously supported the development of the Aid Information System and the Aid M&E system in addition to developing the capacities of the related government officials in aid coordination and management.
