Graduation of First batch of UNDP Labour-intensive project

UNDP Deputy Country Director Abdel Rahman Ghandour and Minster of Social Welfare for Khartoum state Ms. Amal Al-Beili have attended on December 22nd   the graduation ceremony of 500  Labor-intensive project  members.

Through generous funding from  India, Brazil, and South Africa (IBSA) UNDP has targeted a number of  unemployed, unskilled and semiskilled youth in Khartoum state and has provided them with intensive capacity-building  in waste management, micro finance capacity building and vocational training to create rapid and diversified employment opportunities for the least advantaged, unemployed and unskilled young Sudanese in the state. 

Labour intensive is a joint project between UNDP, Ministry of Labour and Administrative Reform (MO-LAR), IBSA and Khartoum State Ministry of Social Development Foundation (SDF). This pThe first South-South Cooperation Project between the Governments.
